Owner

As a Certified Public Accountant with over 25 years of accounting experience, Shalonda Hurd is the go-to person for all your business’ financial needs. Her experience ranges from audit to financial accounting & reporting (including financial statement preparation, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasts) to tax. In addition to her previous management roles, she taught various Accounting technology systems in the corporate sector for almost 10 years.  Shalonda has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, and Master’s degree in Business Administration.

When she is not working, Shalonda is either at the beach, or she is out traveling the world and experiencing new things.  She also enjoys a good movie night or game night with family and friends.

My Dad became a single father when I was only 13.  At the time, he was working in a nonprofit, traveling to different federal installations speaking to workers about how to make a huge difference in small ways.  He was and still is my hero.  He raised millions for various nonprofits around the country, and I wanted to be like him.  In 2010, I started working in a nonprofit, and I quickly discovered my passion for accounting.  I took courses in nonprofit and government accounting and, eventually, I enrolled in a Master’s Program for Nonprofit Management.  I served on the board of directors for a startup nonprofit, creating fundraising plans, new programs, writing grants, and budgets.

I look forward to working with you and helping provide the support you need as you grow and sustain your business. 

When I’m not working, you can find me chasing our three year old.  We enjoy the zoo, playing cars, visiting museums (especially ones with dinosaurs!), or for coffee.
